the Department of Energy's (DOE) submitted application to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for a license to build a high-level radioactive waste repository located at Yucca Mountain.

The NRC has formally docketed the DOE's license application for the proposed high-level nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nev. The agency staff has also recommended that the Commission adopt, with further supplementation, DOE's Environmental Impact Statement for the repository project.
The DOE has issued its notice of intent to supplement the repository EIS.
